Everfall: Rise of Nations
The humans of Caeloth became one of the most economic nations, quickly eliminating their barter and trade system and printing currency from gold. As this practice grew, many of the other nations began to accept and use this currency. Only small nations, tribes, and scattered peoples refuse to acknowledge its purchasing power.
The types of coins are as follows, from lowest to highest value:
Bit – a name for a small copper coin minted by Caeloth. 10 Bits make a Cael.
Cael – a name for a primarily silver-white gold coin minted by Caeloth. This is the standard currency used for most purchases. 10 Caels make a Crown.
Crown – a name for a gold plated silver coin minted by Caeloth. Crowns are used in larger purchases as they have a high value. 100 Crowns make a Sovereign.
Sovereign – a name for a solid platinum coin minted by Caeloth. These are rarely used by the public and are generally used in banks and for high volume money storage. Nations trade goods on this scale.
